Beauty and the geek live was filmed successfully! Success!

On monday and tuesday we added the final details to our live show, ready to film on thursday!

Friday 11th June

STUDIO BOOKED 11-2PM


Today we ran through and filmed our Pre-recorded part of Beauty & the Geek. The filming went very well - its going to look fantastic!

2.23PM - Began editing, finished by 4pm. Edited with opening titles. Has a professional feel to it.

Monday 7th June - Thursay 10th June

Over these 4 days i have been adding the finishing touches to my pre-production, we are 100% ready to film. Set finishedm pink and green logo put on sets.

Half Term, 28th May - 6th June

Over the half term i have continued to make small changes to my script, set design and ideas for Beauty and the Geek. I have finished my pre-recorded and live scripts, got a house style for the set and props. I aim to have filmed and edited my pre-recorded part of the show by Friday the 11th of June.

Thursday 27th & 28th May

We took these final 2 days before half term to design, and paint our set and come up with our graphics. By friday, the graphics had been created and the set had been painted white ready for our logo to be painted on.

Wednesday 26th May

Rehersals continiued today, We also began preperation for live show. We will require the following props:

For the winning Beauty
-bunch of flowers
-a tiara
-sash saying 'Beauty Queen' to wear

For the winning Geek
-a large card check
-a crown

Tuesday 25th May

STUDIO BOOKED 2.30-4PM

Today we were meant to begin filming again, however we didnt due to the new script changes, we ran through this instead

Monday 24th May

Script changes were bought in today, due to issues with codes and conventions. What this means is that we will no longer be using a gay couple, and will just stick to having 3 males and 3 females. Due to these changes, we had to re-cast and cancel the rehesal we had planned for today.

Thursday 20th May

STUDIO BOOKED 2-4PM

Filming was meant to begin today, however it didn't as i had to take the afternoon off college due to personal issues. My partner in Beauty and the Geek Lauren was meant to take over, but didnt due to lack of communication.

Wednesday 19th May

Today we read through the current versions of our scripts with our cast, hoping to start filming tommorow.

Tuesday 18th may

Today we handed in all completed paper work to the executive producer. We didnt handover our scripts, as some parts need to be re-written. Executives were okay with this.

Monday the 17th may

We set today as the deadline for all of our pre-production work, such as our scripts, treatments and audience research. We successfully completed this task - however the script for our live transmission on broadcast day could do with some work.
